The film chronicles the life of a middle-class family from Mumbai, with the father being a patriot and an Indian National Congress supporter, who sees his faith in secularism shaken after the Mumbai Terror Attacks of November 2008. In his stubbornness he resorts to violence as a means to prove himself right about India's vulnerability. The film stars Paresh Rawal in the lead role, with supporting roles played by Akshay Kumar, Saurabh Shukla, Piyush Mishra, Sanjay Mishra and Rahul Singh. The film was released on 12 April 2012 to positive critical reception. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. Abhay Kumar (Paresh Rawal) is a patriotic but anglicized middle class man living in Mumbai. He values his family above everything else. He is a die-hard supporter of the Indian National Congress party and its leader Sonia Gandhi for which he has even voted when she was not in the electoral fray. He is also a staunch believer in secularism. Abhay's son Aditya (Akshay Kumar) is on the other hand a typical party animal who loves partying, drinking and chasing girls. When his father questions him about his future prospects, he claims that he would aspire to become the next President of India. Abhay however does not take Aditya's words seriously thinking that it is just an expression of his love for the country. To support his son's education, he buys a small shop on rent where they sell cheap clothes which are sourced from China. He is upset when he can't get a fair deal for his merchandise in the shops nearby which are owned by Muslims. One evening, after having a fight with his wife, Abhay is shocked when he sees his son's face in the Mirror. He then recalls an argument that he had with Aditya the previous night about him not being able to find any good Muslim girl. Meanwhile, Aditya has fallen in love with Lata (Kangna Ranaut), daughter of Ashwini Kumar (Hansraj Hans), who owns an old-age home where they both spend their time. He is also annoyed when she claims that she is not interested in men and tells him to leave her alone. He is unable to tell his friend, Raju (Rajneesh Duggal), what has happened. Abhay decides to go there and confront Lata. When he reaches the old-age home, he finds a painting of Muhammad Ali Jinnah's picture on a wall. He tells Ashwini about Aditya's love for a Muslim girl but Ashwini refuses to believe him claiming that it will never happen as she is Hindu and "not that kind of girl". cfa1e77820
